AAA Helps Travelers with New Mobile Trip Planning Tools

AAA Apps

AAA's GPS-based mobile apps are available for both iPhone and Android-compatible devices. Membership is not required to download and use AAA apps, but is needed to take full advantage of the associated member benefits, such as discounts and roadside assistance. AAA TripTik Mobile shows nearby gas station locations along with updated fuel prices. It also provides maps and turn-by-turn directions and displays additional points of interest including AAA Diamond Rated hotels and restaurants, AAA Approved attractions, local events, AAA offices and Approved Auto Repair facilities. The app can recalculate routes and provide voice guidance for the next maneuver.

The app can also integrate trips already created and saved with AAA.com's TripTik Travel Planner. A saved route generates a unique AAA TripTik ID that a user enters into the app to download the map and directions. The ID can be shared with multiple users and the entire downloaded route can be modified as needed. (Saving routes requires registration on AAA.com and may require AAA membership.)

AAA Discounts , downloaded more than one million times, finds nearby places that offer AAA members a Show Your Card & Save discount. The app displays key information including business name, address, phone number, distance from current location and discount details. Users can sort listings by category and have one-click access to a route map and narrative directions. While anyone can use these key app features, only members may take advantage of the available discounts.

NOCO and AAA Team to Provide Fuel Savings : Convenience Store ...

Customers save three cents per gallon at NOCO Express locations.

NOCO Express and AAA Western and Central New York have launched an exclusive fuel savings and rewards program for Western New York AAA members.

The “AAA & NOCO Fuel Advantage” saves motorists three cents on every gallon of gasoline purchased when they swipe their AAA membership card at participating NOCO Express stations. While filling up, AAA members also earn valuable reward points redeemable for free NOCO Express gift cards.

“As a locally owned and operated company, we know that the high cost of gasoline is impacting the budgets of families throughout the region, including the families of our 700 employees,” said Michael Newman, executive vice president, NOCO Energy Corp.  “We are doing our best to find ways to provide savings to our customers in these very difficult market conditions and the program we are partnering with AAA Western and Central New York on is one way we are trying to being some relief.”

The “AAA & NOCO Fuel Advantage” program is the first savings programs between AAA and NOCO Express. The two organizations have formed a long-term discount partnership that allows future savings opportunities and additional benefits for AAA members and customers of NOCO Express.

“With the average cost of self-serve regular currently over $4 a gallon, motorists are looking for ways to save,” said Tom Chestnut, president and CEO of AAA Western and Central New York. “The cost of gasoline impacts the family budget, and AAA understands how important it is to offset higher costs by taking advantage of every available discount.”

To use the “AAA & NOCO Fuel Advantage” discount, motorists simply swipe their AAA membership card at any NOCO Express pump where it will automatically reduce the price per gallon by three cents. Then, they swipe a credit/debit or NOCO gift card, remove the nozzle, select fuel grade, and pump the fuel. Members using cash may pay inside after swiping their AAA card.

While utilizing the fuel discount, AAA members earn valuable reward points at NOCO Express. At the pump, for every gallon of gasoline purchased, 10 reward points are earned. AAA members also earn 20 reward points for every dollar spent inside NOCO Express on convenience items. NOCO/AAA Reward Points add up quickly and can be redeemed for NOCO Express Gift Cards.

NOCO operates more than 30 NOCO Express service stations and convenience stores throughout Western New York.
